Our client, a growing, lower middle market Private Equity backed manufacturing and distribution company, is located in Grand Prairie, Texas, and they seek an Accounting Manager to join their Finance and Accounting team. This role reports directly to the CFO and will play a major role in leading the accounting and reporting function. The role will also support the CFO's efforts to lead a very diverse group of corporate functions including but not limited to HR, Insurance and Benefits, Payroll, Inventory, Contracts, Purchasing, Shipping, and Receiving. The Private Equity sponsor works closely with us, and they are excited about the growth potential of this business! - Must have accounting and finance technical proficiency with a strong attention to detail.
- Requires an Accounting degree with six or more total years of experience to include "hands on" general accounting experience.
- Must have a strong business acumen.
- Must have excellent communication skills and a superior ability to lead others and develop relationships.
- Must have a fiduciary mindset.
- Must have strong project management skills.
- Prefer a CPA.
- Prior public accounting experience followed by industry accounting leadership experience is a plus.
- Will oversee all general accounting, financial accounting, and financial reporting activities.
- Will supervise three degreed professionals.
- Will support the CFO in preparing and presenting all PE, Management, and Board Reporting.
- Will support the CFO with the annual Budget as well as all monthly Financial Analysis and Planning activities.
- Will oversee the Payroll process.
- Will support the State Sales Tax compliance process.
- Work closely with the Operations leaders to support their efforts to organically grow the organization in an efficient and effective manner.
- Cost accounting experience is not required (but is a plus to have).
- Will supervise the AP and AR functions.
- Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage, or Dynamics is a plus.
- Must be a collaborative self-starter who loves to learn new things.
