Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of our accounting department, including month-end closing, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, etc.
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and provide accurate and timely financial information to the management.
- Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with all internal processes and financial regulations and laws.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage company audits.
- Develop and manage financial systems and policies.
- Train and mentor accounting staff to ensure efficiency and adherence to company policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- A Master’s degree or CPA is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably within the service industry.
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, including experience with budget preparation, analysis, decision making, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and government regulations.
- Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
