We are seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to lead their accounting operations and support the organization’s financial goals. This role will be 4 days in office, with 1 day from home after training period.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
100-120k plus 7% bonus
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager with expertise in both cost accounting and corporate accounting. This individual will manage the day-to-day accounting operations, oversee two accountants, and provide critical support to the CFO. Experience within the construction space is required. Open to candidates out of real estate only if company also develops.
Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:
- Oversee all accounting functions, including job cost and corporate accounting.
- Prepare and maintain job budgets, track expenses, and analyze job cost data.
- Prepare work papers and journal entries for month-end and year-end closings.
- Manage daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and ongoing budget management.
- Provide financial insights and reports to support the CFO and leadership team.
- Maintain compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage two accountants, fostering a productive team environment.
Qualifications of the Accounting Manager:
- 7+ years of experience proven experience in cost accounting and corporate accounting within the construction industry.
- MUST have experience working for a construction company.
- Strong knowledge of job costing, budget preparation, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
