What would I do?

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the corporate accounting department including: month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, cash, forecasting revenue and expenditure, variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, investment statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity.
• Lead the budget process for the Annual Operating Plan for KOMAN Holdings administrative departments.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Coordinate and assist with completion of annual financial statement and workers compensation audits.
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Professionally interact with colleagues, members of the public, clients, and business associates.
• Comply with all company policies and applicable laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

What experience and required qualifications do I need to be considered?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• 7 years experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager required
• 2 years of federal contract accounting
• Strong MS Office skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel required
• Strong Project-based ERP system experience.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Ability to prioritize tasks to make sure multiple deadlines are met.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must have effective problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to direct and supervise.
