The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing IME’s accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and the efficient management of financial processes. This role collaborates closely with the Finance Manager to ensure the Finance department is improving internal controls and providing financial insights to support business decisions.
What You'll Do:Key Responsibilities:
Month End Close & Reporting: Manage and streamline the month-end close process in collaboration with the Finance Manager to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee the preparation and distribution of timely and accurate financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Conduct analysis and provide financial insights to leadership.
Corporate & Government Reporting: Compile and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for corporate and government purposes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Audit & Compliance: Prepare and maintain required documentation for internal and external audits. Ensure all accounting practices comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop accounts payable & payroll teams to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide guidance, support, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve Accounts Payable and Payroll processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices in financial reporting and accounting procedures.
What You'll Bring:Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:
- Advanced Excel ability; SQL and Power BI are a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks SAP, Oracle, etc.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including managerial responsibilities, preferred
Working Conditions:
The majority of the time you will work in a typical office environment. Occasionally, you may travel to a construction job site. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space. You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $135,000
*Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.*
