As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will play a pivotal role in financial management and strategy.
Responsibilities:
Oversee job costing processes, ensuring accurate allocation of costs to specific projects and contracts.
Conduct comprehensive reviews of contracts to assess financial implications, risks, and compliance requirements.
Manage Work in Progress (WIP) accounts, reconciling balances and providing timely updates to stakeholders.
Coordinate billing activities, including the preparation and submission of invoices to clients in accordance with contractual terms.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and optimize efficiency.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to management.
Assist with year-end audits and tax filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve financial operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on job costing, contract review, and internal controls.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in construction or similar field is a plus.
