Job Title: Accounting Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and excellent analytical skills. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounting staff, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets in compliance with accounting standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
- Lead, train, and develop accounting staff, providing guidance on tasks, workloads, and professional growth.
- Coordinate with auditors to prepare for annual audits and implement recommendations for process improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, providing recommendations to management.
- Ensure proper accounting for company assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Support financial planning and analysis by providing financial data and insights as needed.
- Stay up to date on industry regulations, accounting standards, and best practices to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 1 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of internal controls and compliance practices.
