We are a leading MRO service provider for the Aerospace industry that has been in business for over 30 years! We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in the Engineering industry. This is a permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to manage a full range of accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all accounting functions including manufacturing, ASC 606, AR/AP processing, inventory, cost, fixed asset accounting, month-end closing, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including manufacturing, ASC 606, AR/AP processing, inventory, cost, fixed asset accounting, month-end closing, journal entries, account reconciliations, auditing, and MRO business.
2. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
3. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
4. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
5. Provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
6. Meet financial accounting objectives.
7. Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
8. Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
9. Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
10. Support month-end and year-end close process.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting in a manufacturing environment.
3. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
5. Strong ERP systems knowledge.
6. Experience with creating financial statements.
7. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
8. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
9. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
10. Accuracy and attention to detail.
11. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
12. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
13. Ability to direct and supervise.
