Vaco Boston has partnered with our client, a leading, publicly held marketing and advertising company, that is seeking an Accounting Manager. This individual will oversee and manage all aspects of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes. The Accounting Manager will collaborate with other finance and administrative departments to support the organization's financial objectives.
Essential Job Functions

Monitor and manage all accounts receivable processes.
Implement and maintain effective systems for invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
Ensure accuracy in recording payments and adjustments.
Address inquiries and concerns related to billing.
Prepare and distribute regular reports on accounts receivable status to senior management.
Oversee accounts payable functions, including vendor payments, purchase order processing, and expense reimbursements.
Ensure that invoices are reviewed, approved, and paid in a timely manner.
Verify vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain good vendor relations.
Supervise the accounts payable team and provide guidance on payment priorities.
Continuously assess and improve AR/AP processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Implement best practices and automation solutions to streamline workflows.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business required.
5+ years advanced accounting experience in areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and collections
Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Strong Excel skills
Ability to work independently demonstrating mature judgment, prioritize and organize multiple projects.
