Location - Irvine by UCI (hybrid)
Salary - $125-140k base, plus discretionary bonus 5-10% historically.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and annual close processes for two main divisions.
- Prepare accurate standard journals to record major transactions for the month
- Review accounting staff’s monthly journal entries for accuracy.
- Manage the regular monthly account reconciliations and analysis of Balance Sheet & accounts to ensure accounts are complete and accurate.
- Ensure that all expenses are distributed to the proper cost centers/departments.
- Coordinate with plant personnel to perform inventory counts, maintain strong inventory controls, and accurate inventory records (including standard costs).
- Investigate and resolve significant cost variances.
- Investigate material adjustments transactions for the month for accuracy and perform cost roll-ups as necessary.
- Provide complete and accurate financial statements to the Corporate Controller for review.
- Perform monthly variance analysis for financials statement captions.
- Prepare accurate weekly cash forecasts.
- Review cash position and ensure that vendor payments are processed in a timely manner.
- Ensure that accurate vendor master files are properly setup and maintained.
- Maintain accurate and reconciled liability subsidiary ledgers. Provide detailed analysis, adjustments or corrections when needed.
- Coordinate cross-departmentally to resolve issues impacting the financials in a timely manner.
- Supervise the daily postings of cash receipts.
- Maintain weekly cash reconciliation.
- Review, prepare, and file quarterly and annual tax fillings.
- Assist in the preparation and completion of external and internal financials statement reviews.
- Continuously review and update internal controls and processes to improve data accuracy and workflow.
- Undertake performance reviews of supervised staff. Provide necessary motivation and training to improve work efficiencies and maintain morale.
- Perform other duties and assignments as required by the Company.
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting is required.
- CPA a plus
- Epicor a plus
- 7+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong GL background and tax experience is preferred.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in public accounting is preferred.
