About the Job
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager for our insurance client on a project basis. This role is a fully remote position.
Responsibilities
- Support of YE close process, including resources management, to ensure all YE close processes are completed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for all aspects of the divisional accounting and financial statement close process
- Oversee the review and evaluation of actual financial results for the divisions, analyze trends, and report quarterly financial information.
- First level of review of financial reporting packages, financial analysis of line of business reporting
- Focus on effective and efficient enterprise pre-close, close, significant/unusual transaction management, and financial analysis to deliver accurate and timely GAAP, Statutory, and other regulatory reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Liaison to Accounting Policy, Accounting Operations, Valuation, and Tax for close execution
- Responsible for ensuring the execution of internal controls
- Business support to Divisional FP&A teams on quarterly results
- Serve as an informal lead to a team of 15 accountants on the close execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- 15+ years of relevant industry experience
- Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
