Position Overview
The Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting and financefunctions for Wüsthof Americas; a mid-size consumer goods company. As the Accounting Manager, you will prepare and oversee financial statements, budgets, forecasts, audits and other reporting/reports as needed. This role plays an integral part of the day to day transactions and will also manage a staff of two. As the Accounting Manager you will also execute and improve current accountingpolicies, procedures and will oversee spending. This role reports to the Vice President of Finance / CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Financial reporting, monthly close of financials, account reconciliations, year-end audit.
- Manage Accounts Receivable – ensure timely and accurate cash application & processing of customer deductions. Monitor / improve AR aging status.
- Manage Accounts Payable – ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices including appropriate approvals. Ensure proper filings (through 3rdparty) and for state sales use taxes.
- Assist in preparation of annual budget and periodic re-forecasts.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills, including ability to effectively communicate withinternal and external customers.
- Excellent computer proficiency(MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to meet deadlines,while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independentlyand to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructionsgiven, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Hands on ERP experience
- 2 years of proven managementexperience
- 3 years of general accountingexperience in similar environment
