Job Title: Accounting Manager

Job Summary/Description:
We are looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee the financial
reporting process related to various adviser entities of both private and public
funds. The candidate must have a strong working knowledge of GAAP, and prior
experience supervising a team of up to 4 accounting personnel.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of companies
Adviser entities (management companies)
• Provide timely, accurate accounting and reporting while managing
multiple entities and accounts
• Train, manage, and lead other team members regarding technical
accounting requirements of each legal entity, as well as processes
• Lead weekly team meetings and work with the Controller to assist in
other projects as necessary
• Review team member’s work to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Prepare analysis for various internal and external requests
• Assist and drive any ad-hoc projects and initiatives of the Firm
• Lead new accounting adoptions with respect to both technical assessment
and written policies and memos
• Manage treasury processes around wires, cash planning, and forecasting
• Lead annual audit process with external auditors and manage all audit
deliverables
• Assist the Controller on internal budget and cash analysis process
• Act as a liaison with other department leads
• Work independently while managing the priorities of the team
• Communicate effectively - both verbal and written
This candidate should bring:
• High level of attention to detail with the understanding of the big picture
• Proven experience and ability to organize self as well as prioritizing
other team member’s work
• Consistent strong work ethic and collaborative approach
• Ability to understand, compile, and analyze data
• Exude confidence and professionalism at all times
• Ability to multi-task work in fast pace, high intensity environment
Minimum requirement:
BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA Required
5-7+ years of professional accounting, including minimum of 4+ years in public
accounting (Big 4 preferred)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles
