Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager, you will:
1. Oversee all daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable, payroll, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.
2. Utilize Deltek and Paylocity for financial management and reporting.
3. Coordinate and prepare for annual audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and in compliance with applicable standards.
4. Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a supportive and professional work environment.
5. Monitor bank balances and cash flow to ensure the company's financial stability.
6. Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures, ensuring they align with company objectives and industry standards.
7. Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations to guide decision-making.
8. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve financial performance, and support company-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting, with 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA is preferred.
3. Proven experience with accounting software, (specifically Deltek and Paylocity is a plus).
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger management.
5. Experience coordinating and preparing for audits.
6. Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop staff.
7. Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
