OVERVIEW:
We are seeking dynamic and experienced Accounting Managers (or similar) looking to join highly regarded Architecture, Design, and Engineering firms in the San Francisco Bay Area. In these key leadership roles, you will oversee and elevate the firm's accounting operations, ensuring seamless financial management while driving efficiency and innovation. Your responsibilities will span from managing budgets and overseeing invoicing, to contributing to the strategic implementation and optimization of accounting systems that align with the firm’s growth and operational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Accounting Operations: Oversee daily accounting department operations by establishing internal controls and guidelines for transactions, producing periodic financial reports, and managing payroll through a third-party administrator.
• Tax Reporting: Prepare monthly/quarterly sales tax reports, annual San Francisco business tax reports, and other required tax filings.
• Accounts Payable: Ensure accurate processing, auditing, and verification of accounts payable data, manage deposits, reconcile petty cash, and supervise credit card statement reconciliation.
• External Coordination: Collaborate with external advisors and service providers (e.g., attorneys, accountants, insurance brokers, bankers) and manage debt financing and service payments.
• Accounts Receivable/Billing: Oversee invoicing, client account setup, and billing, ensuring timely and accurate client invoicing.
• Financial Liaison: Act as the primary liaison for financial matters with banks and CPAs.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 7 years related experience required, preferably from an Architectural, Engineering, Design or Construction environment.
• Working knowledge and experience utilizing Deltek (Ajera or Vision) is a definite plus.
