The Accounting Intern will report to the Assistant Controller of ITW Deltar Fasteners and will be responsible for various accounting tasks and department support. The internship will provide the candidate with opportunities to learn about all functional areas of accounting including AP, AR, fixed assets, inventory, and others. The accounting intern will work with individuals from across the accounting department and other division functions to perform data analytics, develop and implement process simplification, perform internal audit work, and assist in audit and tax preparation.
- Assist in the division’s preparation for ERP transition
- Perform and deliver timely work on current division audits (financial, fixed asset, or tax)
- Work collaboratively with members of the division’s other functional groups (Operations and Production, Customer Relations, Engineering, Human Resources, etc.)
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable process performance and simplification
- Networking opportunities with other interns

- Pursuing a minimum of an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills especially Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter capable of working independently
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Open to taking on ad hoc tasks, and pivoting based on department needs
- Must have reliable transportation to get to and from the facility
