Accounting Generalist - Omni Hotels & Resorts

Serving as a cornerstone of northern Atlanta’s newest mixed-used community, the Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta is the official  hotel of the Atlanta Braves and located within steps of SunTrust Park as well as premier office space, the Coca-Cola Roxy music venue and a variety of shopping and dining.

Our luxury hotel features 16 floors with 264 rooms including 28 suites, over 20,000 square feet of meeting space and can accommodate business travelers, families on vacation and everyone in-between. The Hotel General Accountant supports the accounting and control functions at the hotel.

• Assist with general duties in areas of need within the Accounting Department to include: Accounts Payable, General Cashier, Income Audit, Payroll and Accounts Receivable.
• Ensure all guest disputes and requests for clarification are resolved and/or responded to in a timely manner.
• Assist with the processing of all invoices and checks for payment.
• Assist with accounts receivable functions and duties.
• Assist in maintaining complete and accurate files in order to handle vendor and group billing inquires.
• Assist with Generating Daily Labor and Revenue Reports as needed.
• Assist departments with general ledger research and re-class entries.
• Assist with GL Functions (Entry Creation, Viewing Entries, Copy and Print, Run Queries).
• Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations as assigned.
• Display and effectively communicate Omni Culture.
• Understand and ensure compliance with all Omni Finance SOPs.
• Prepare monthly journal entries as assigned.
• Assist with Audit requests.
• Assist with special projects.
• Prepare and distribute the various reports when needed.
• Maintain open communication with all departments.
• Perform other tasks requested by Accounting Manager, Assistant Directors of Finance and Director of Finance.   

• Minimum of 6 months administrative experience, to include hotel front office experience.
• Hotel accounting experience in a shared service environment is a plus.
• Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
• Ability to input information accurately and efficiently into computer systems.
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.
• Ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations.
• Ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
• Willing to learn and grow.
