$140-160k + bonus DOE
Growing PE-backed company is searching for a strong optimization-oriented Accounting Director. Ideal candidates will have their public accounting, acquisition accounting, and progressive experience within process improvement/ change management within a PE-backed environment.

Responsibilities:
- Oversight & management of operational accounting team including cost, GL, AP and AR
- Ensure successful completion of month-end close, variance analysis and financial statements
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Maintain accounting policies, ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls and procedures for department
- Assist in integration of accounting for acquired companies
- Partner closely with Controller, PE-partners and other leaders within organization; providing timely financial information and financial guidance
- Identify and implement process improvements, optimization, automation efforts
- Assist in creation of new SOPs, internal controls, time saving process improvements and other accounting projects in an effort to improve the business
- Lead and mentor accounting staff
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors
- Work with, maintain and NetSuite for accounting
- Partner cross-functionally with leaders to ensure successful communication, knowledge transfer and understanding of impact
- Perform other duties as required
- 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, MBA is a plus; CPA preferred
- Public accounting preferred
- Private equity backed experience required, mid-size company experience with breadth in roles
- Thorough understanding of GAAP, financial accounting guidelines
- Acquisition / M&A accounting experience required
- Major ERP system required (NetSuite highly preferred), Excel
- Proven track record of system optimization, project leadership
- Display ability to lead teams in multiple projects, meeting tight deadlines
- Analytical and problem solving skills
