ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Support theAccountingManagerand ControllerandcompleteAccounts Receivabletaskswithin allbut not limited toareas ofcollections and billing.You will also be the general cashier in charge of issuing and tracking internal house funds, vaults and contracts associated as such.We are looking for ahighly-skilled, detail-oriented accounting coordinator who excels at multitasking. The accounting coordinator will act as a point of contact between thedifferent partsof the accounting department,other departments within the resort,including accountsreceivableand external parties, such asguests.Youmay handle bookkeeping,assistin audits, and resolvediscrepancies. You should be analytical, collaborative, and trustworthy.
To succeed as an accounting coordinator, you should be ethical, thorough, and attentive with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensureaccurateandtimelybilling. Builds, monitors, andprocesses monthlycredit cardpayments of varioushouseaccounts. Clears guest ledger of open folioswithinCorporateguidelines. Calculate and post discounted folio journal entries and reconcilecorrespondingbalance sheet. Process and bill-out WholesaleTravel invoices as well as billing-out othervariousARinvoices. Applying check payments to AR, Advancedepositsor miscellaneous invoices.Assistin guest disputes.Monitor and clearmiscellaneoustransactions. Assist the Catering team withGroups, including attendee account set-up/routing, Group master account maintenance/billing,coordination and completion of the Group package of charges as well ascollectingGroupdepositsandor processing payments.Reconciling and monitoringSertifitransactionsandassistingin postingSertificharges when needed.Assistthe corporate audit team with daily auditing items including, but not limited to, house charges, employee end of day paperwork, compiling and routing ECdaily approval packets, etc. And other miscellaneous accounting items that may come up.
Collectsremittance envelopes with security officerand countsmonies receivedfrom safe drop box,verifyingthattheenvelopes tally with what is recorded on log sheet.Balances cash,prepareand processdailybank depositsin accordance with hotel’s standardsand meets with Loomis on a weekly basis forbank depositpickup.Roleis tomaintainan adequate supply of change to provideforchange requests andpetty cash reimbursements. Reviews and verifies accuracy of petty cash charges and assignsappropriate generalledger coding for payment.Records dailybank deposit journals in GP,maintainthe Cash Receipt Journal spreadsheet, and reconciles balance sheet account.Maintains current house bank agreements as well as completes bank audits for all issued employee banks with anotherAccountingassociateon a monthly basis.Prepares cash short/over reports on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis andadvisesmanagement on materialvariancesin accordance withthe Standard Operating Procedures.
Other:
Workschedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to4:30pmunless needed for Month End or othertimelydeadlineson weekends.Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position. Irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Due to the fluctuation in business levels in the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Resort. In addition, attendance isrequiredat all scheduled training sessions and meetings. Upon employment, all employees are required to fullycomply withcompany rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the Resort’s facilities. Employees who violate Resort rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition, this position may berequiredto perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solelydeterminedby the manager based upon theparticular requirementsof the Resort:
Provide training to department managers and associates discrepancies.

Physical Demands
Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperaturegenerally ismoderate and controlled by Resort environmental systems.This is not a remote position.
Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the Resort ona timelybasis.
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing,listeningand hearing ability and visual acuity.
Talking and listening occur continuously in the process of communicating with internal and external guests.
Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
Requires manual dexterity to use andoperateall necessary equipment.
Must have finger dexterity to be able tooperateoffice equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machine, electric typewriter, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, photocopiers, safe dials,dollyand other office equipment as needed.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education
High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience
Previousexperience in Accounts Receivablepreferred.
Licenses or Certificates

The pay scale* for Accounting Coordinator starts at $30.72.
*The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
