Job Details
We are currently seeking an Accounting Coordinator to join our prestigious law firm. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, where attention to detail and accuracy are paramount. The Accounting Coordinator will play a key role in our finance department, ensuring that all financial operations run smoothly and effectively. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in financial reporting, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of the financial needs of a law firm.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Coordinator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of our firm's finances. These responsibilities include:
1. Coordinating and executing all accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
2. Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
3. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
4. Ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding financial practices and transactions.
5. Collaborating with the finance team to improve financial processes and systems.
6. Assisting with audits and tax preparations.
7. Managing client trust accounts and performing regular reconciliations.
8. Providing financial information and advice to the firm's partners and management team.
9. Supporting the finance department in day-to-day operations and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for this position will have a robust set of qualifications, including:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within a law firm or the legal industry.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, with a particular focus on financial reporting.
4. Proficiency in Elite 3E and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in work output.
6. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
7. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
10. Professionalism and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
