About the Job
- Process invoices, verify transaction information, and match purchase orders with invoices
- Prepare and process payments, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements
- Record incoming payments, and manage accounts receivable aging reports
- Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Assist with payroll processing, including verifying timekeeping records, calculating wages, and processing employee payments
- Ensure compliance with relevant payroll laws and regulations
- Prepare and distribute financial statements and reports as directed by the Accounting Manager
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, including filing systems for accounting documents
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and relevant accounting regulations
- Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and answer inquiries
- Provide support to the Accounting Manager and other finance team members as needed
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor's degree is preferred
- 1-2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of healthcare financial operations is a plus
- Familiarity with relevant accounting standards and regulations
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
