Accounting Clerk - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Position Title: Accounting Clerk

Location: Walnut Creek, CA

Salary Range: $25 - $35 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Manage vendor invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents to ensure timely payments.
• Handle customer invoices, payments, and collections activities to maintain positive cash flow.
• Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain financial records in the accounting system.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions on a regular basis.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Work closely with the General Ledger team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in both accounts payable and accounts receivable roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Timberline highly preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
