The Accounting Clerk is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling bank statements. They perform a range of general clerical, accounting, and bookkeeping support functions in an organization. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems and databases.

• Prepare and send invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Work with Accounts Payable processing and verifying invoices for payment.

• Prepare checks, and ensure timely payment of bills.

• Work with Accounts Receivable tracking incoming payments, post receipts, and follow up on overdue accounts.

• Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents.

• Review and process employee expense reports for reimbursement.

• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and files.

• Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and information.

• Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and answer queries.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles.

• Provide general administrative support, including filing, faxing, and copying.

• Overtime Authorization and Requirement - Unauthorized approval in advance of working overtime and repeated refusal to work overtime are violations of company policy.  

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.

• Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred.
