Summary:
The Accounting Clerk- Senior performs complex and diverse duties involving the application of standard bookkeeping and/or accounting procedures.Duties & Responsibilities:
+ With minimal supervision, remit and deposit funds, balance activity and complete reports.
+ Review information in loan origination system (NetOxygen) and approve loans for funding.
+ Upload wire export files and enter manual wires in Business Online /Payment Center.
+ Balance wire batches with import.
+ Process Checks in MSP and Checkwriter.
+ Process stop payments as required.
+ Deposit checks.
+ Process debit / credit card charges and refunds as necessary.
+ Complete manual general ledger entries for disbursement as needed.
+ Work emails in group email box.
+ Provide Simply the Best customer service.
+ Cross train to support other funding colleagues.
+ Refer unusual cases to the manager.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Scheduling information
Must be available M – F 7:45am – 5pm
This is an in-person position located in Huntington's Easton Oval office (Columbus, Oh).
Must currently reside within 30 minutes/reasonable mileage of Easton office.
Basic Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma
+ 1 - 3 years of mortgage/banking experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
+ Accurate data entry skills and 10 key by touch
+ Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
+ Good organizational, written and communication skills necessary.
+ Advanced PC skills with emphasis on Excel.
+ Business Online, NetOx and MSP experience
Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay)
