Accounting Clerk - Robert Half

Description We are currently seeking an organized, reliable, and diligent Accounting Clerk to join an established company based in Tukwila. This is a contract position, and the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for streamlining our accounting functions and operations, providing financial analysis and reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsibilities: + Perform basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks. + Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. + Record financial transactions and post them in various accounts. + Assist in invoice processing and payments. + Perform bank reconciliations. + Maintain records and files adequately for audit trails. + Compile necessary reports to management on sales, trends, and expenditures. + Ensure strict adherence to company financial policies and procedures. + Assist with year-end preparation and procedures. + Respond to queries by the Management regarding accounting numbers. Requirements + Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar position in Accounting. + Excellent understanding of bookkeeping procedures. + Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks). + Strong math and data entry skills. + Close attention to detail and problem-solving orientation. + Good knowledge of MS Office especially Excel. + Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
