Job Description:
As an Accounting Clerk, you will play an essential role in supporting the daily accounting activities. Your responsibilities will include processing invoices, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and providing general accounting assistance to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations. You will work closely with the accounting team to ensure that financial data is properly recorded and maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices for payment and ensure timely processing.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Post journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Handle expense reports, ensuring proper approval and coding.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed.
- Assist in preparing tax filings and financial audits.
- Manage the filing and organization of accounting records.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues or clarify information.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in accounting or clerical roles is a plus.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Excel) and general accounting procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
