A DAY IN THE LIFE
The Accounting Clerk will handle communications with vendors, clients, and internal departments, assist with inventory, database, and record maintenance, prepare financial reports, issue checks and make deposits, and generally ensure that the office operations are running smoothly.
Job Requirement and Responsibilities Include:
- Perform data entry associated with accounts payable
- Review and reconcile monthly invoice discrepancies
- Process check requests and expense reports on a regular basis
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries
- Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices
- Perform regular bank reconciliations
- Audit and process credit card bills
- Maintain many vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Perform general office support like filing and other administrative tasks
- Maintain, verify, and update numerous ledgers
- Help provide and prepare information for reports in a timely manner
- Assist Fleet Manager with maintaining vehicle information.
- Other related duties as requested and assigned.
Education
- High school diploma
- Associates degree in Accounting is preferred
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Driver's License
- 2-3 years' experience with accounts payable or general accounting
- General knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills, including Excel
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks and Sage 100 Contractor)
- Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong analytic abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task with time management and possess a sense of urgency.
- Confident communicator with excellent communications skills via phone, email, text, and face to face

WORK SCHEDULE
Normal working hours for the position are Monday - Friday 8 - 5. The office is open 7 days per week.
- Able to work weekends and holidays as required to meet deadlines.
- Able to work flexible hours and extended shifts as required to meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 15-20 lbs
