Accounting Clerk

Lone Star Corporation is searching for a full time Accounting Clerk. Looking for a skilled and well-rounded accountant to ensure quality work. Must be confident in prioritizing tasks and working with little supervision, self-motivated and trustworthy. Role will report to our Controller.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
• Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
• Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
• Collect on outstanding Accounts Receivable balances
• Send Monthly statements to all AR customers
• Serve as an Accounts Payable backup
• Serve as a Payroll backup
• Maintain all Customer Files including folder creation
• Maintain Master Service Agreement files
• Other duties as assigned
• Provide assistance and support to company personnel
• Monthly Reporting duties assigned by the controller

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven accounting experience, preferably as an accounts receivable clerk or accounts payable clerk
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
• Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers
• Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
• Data entry and word processing skills
• Well organized
• High school degree
