As part of our expanding team, we are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to assist in the day-to-day financial operations.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Accounting Clerk will support the accounting department by performing various clerical tasks, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and providing assistance in the preparation and maintenance of reports. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Apply complex AR payments, ensuring accuracy and correct allocation.
- Daily invoice scanning and filing, maintaining organized and updated records.
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including invoices, purchase orders, and payment schedules.
- Assist with general accounting inquiries from other departments or customers.
- Assist withspecial projects or additional payroll tasks.
- Data entry and record keeping: Accurately enter and maintain financial data in the accounting software, ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant with company policies.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Perform data entry of financial transactions into the accounting system.
- Assist with preparing reports, such as expense summaries and financial statements.
- Communicate with vendors and customers regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
- Support the accounting team with audits, inventory counts, and other special projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems).
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position will be in an office setting at a desk equipped with computer, monitors, phone, and other applicable resources/equipment. It will require the applicant to routinely sit, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend for up to 8 hours. Position requires the occasional lifting of objects up to 10lbs.
