Accounting Clerk - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

About the Job
Seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a growing financial services team in downtown Los Angeles. This is a hybrid position, allowing flexibility to work both remotely and in-office. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of accounting experience, a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Process invoices, track payments, and assist with month-end close processes.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports and statements.
- Manage and organize financial documents, ensuring proper filing and documentation for audits.
- Coordinate with other departments and external vendors regarding billing, payments, and other financial matters.
- Support senior accountants and other team members in various financial tasks and projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and adhere to accounting standards.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a financial services setting.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and terminology.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
