Are you an experienced Accounting Clerk who loves the thrill of solving financial puzzles? Are you seeking a dynamic position that will allow you to flex your accounting muscle in a fast-paced consulting environment? If so, we are looking for a Consulting Accounting Clerk to join our team. This position is a unique blend of accounting and consulting, providing you with the opportunity to utilize your technical accounting skills while also leveraging your business acumen to provide strategic consulting services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are essential to our company's financial health. Your duties will include:
1. Managing cash disbursements, ACH payments, wire payments, and cleared checks.
2. Setting up vendor accounts to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.
3. Handling W-9 and journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal regulations.
4. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
5. Collaborating with our consulting team to provide strategic financial advice to our clients.
6. Identifying opportunities for financial improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement.
7. Maintaining accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
8. Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need a unique blend of technical accounting skills, business acumen, and interpersonal skills. The qualifications for this position include:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, with experience in cash disbursements, ACH payments, wire payments, cleared checks, vendor account set-ups, W-9, and journal entries.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
7. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate and address issues before they arise.
8. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
