They are now looking to add a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to their team in Little Ferry, NJ.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$22/hr – $28/hr Depending on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking an organized and proactive Accounting Clerk to join the Accounting department and play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining precise financial records, processing invoices, and supporting a range of accounting functions. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth processing of financial transactions and the timely, accurate completion of accounting documentation.
Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk:
- Review, verify, and process incoming invoices from vendors and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable functions, including entering payments, issuing receipts, and following up on overdue invoices.
- Assist in the monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of documents for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.
Qualifications for the Accounting Clerk:
- Proven experience in an accounting role or relevant administrative position.
- Analytical and very detail-oriented.
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma is required.
