Accounting Associate - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Position Title: Accounting Associate

Pay Rate: $22-$27 DOE

POSITION SUMMARY The Accounting Associate oversees Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and related General Accounting functions. This role involves direct interaction with internal and external stakeholders, including bank personnel, our Corporate and Business units, collections agencies, and Dunn and Bradstreet.

REQUIREMENTS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Proficiency in Automated Accounts Receivable and Billing Programs
• Familiarity with Automated Accounts Payable Programs
• Understanding of credit and collection practices
• Advanced knowledge of sales and use tax regulations
• Setting credit limits for customers
• Supervising the resolution of customer complaints
• Effective communication with customers regarding collections
• Negotiating terms with collection agencies
• Application of Accounts Payable principles
• Understanding of Accounts Receivable and Billing principles
• Proficiency in English (speaking, writing, and reading)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint) and PC systems
• Strong decision-making abilities
• Advanced mathematical skills including statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions

PAST EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

EDUCATION

• Associate's degree in Business with a focus on Accounting.
