Join our dynamic sales team as an Accounting Associate! This is a temporary to permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to leverage your financial acumen and passion for numbers in a vibrant sales environment. This role is integral to our financial operations and requires a candidate with a strong background in year-end close and accounts payable. With over 5 years of experience under your belt, you will play a critical role in maintaining our financial health and driving our business forward.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Accounting Associate, your main responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all accounts payable operations: You will manage all vendor payments, ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, and maintain clear and organized records of all transactions.
2. Handling year-end close processes: You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing all year-end financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
3. Assisting with budget preparation: Working closely with the sales team, you will assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, providing valuable financial insights to drive strategic decisions.
4. Conducting financial analysis: You will analyze financial data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement, providing key insights to the leadership team.
5. Streamlining accounting processes: You will continuously seek ways to improve our accounting processes, leveraging technology to increase efficiency and accuracy.
6. Ensuring compliance: You will ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws and company policies.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the sales industry.
2. Extensive experience with accounts payable and year-end close processes.
3. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
7. The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
8. A proactive approach, with the ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
