The Accounting Associate will assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date financial statements. This individual will complete recurring monthly financial reporting deliverables, quarter-end tasks, and other projects as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Supports general accounting and internal controls.
• Oversees portfolio of accounts and all activity associated, including, but not limited to, billings, receivables, and dispute resolution.
• Ensures compliance and guidelines as well as various control and compliance procedures.
• Identifies items for adjustments, provides data for the verification of internal consistency, completeness, and mathematical accuracy.
• Processes corrections and cancellations within system application and ensures proper authorization.
• Receives, logs, and posts financial data to manual and computerized systems.
• Researches and resolves any issues with discrepancies.
• Provides information to internal or external contacts on financial activities and records of moderate complexity.
• Assures documents being processed are included in the appropriate accounting period or batch cycle.
• Analyzes and audits various accounts of moderate complexity and volume.

• Sound mathematical and analytical skills.
• Strong working knowledge of PC-based software applications, including Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred (not required).
