Accounting Assistant
Location: Remote (Plano, TX)
Duration: Long-term
Rate: DOE
US Citizens, GC, EAD ( H4, L2), E3 TN visa holders preferred, NO third party corp to corp accepted for this job
Key Skills
• Experience in Reporting
a) Perform Data Summaries using intermediate Excel skills
b) Create Supporting Schedules that provide backup for the main report
c) Document work to provide an audit trail for future reviews
• Knowledge of Portfolio Documents and Terminology
a) Ability to read and understand common terminology in Securitization Agreement
b) Ability to interpret how waterfall requirements impact cash transaction timing
c) Ability to grasp how the reporting requirements in the Agreement will be interpreted using the Data and Reports available
• Familiarity with Consumer Loans
• Experience in Reconciliation of Bank Accounts
a) Create Supporting Schedules to support data elements in Bank Reconciliation
b) Perform Analysis to resolve out of balance conditions
c) Performs followup to clear outstanding items timely or coordinate with responsible area
• Analysis of Daily Reports considering collections and application of funds and impact to the accuracy of Reporting
• Perform Financial Transfers according to Contractual and/or Client requirements
a) Ability to Document any Adjustments needed
b) Responsible for Critical timeliness of moving funds
• Research and resolve Exception/Suspense Items
a) Documentation of item that provides clear definition of how item should be cleared
b) Research of Return Items to identify relation to Suspense Items
c) Creation of Check Requests to clear items with appropriate documentation
d) Communication with other units, as needed, to provide status on customer's items
e) Mail item to customer and clear item in system when process complete
