Job Overview:
The Accounting Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Financial Analysis and underwriting process for commercial mortgage transactions. This position involves pulling reports from the CRM, assisting in the preparation of mortgage submission packages for presentation to institutional lenders, and basic administrative duties. The role requires a strong understanding of Excel, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the evaluation of values and risks in commercial mortgage transactions through proficient use of Excel reports.
- Work closely with borrowers to gather necessary information, create and analyze reports, and address transaction-specific risks and strengths.
- Assist in underwriting processes, including the packaging and submission of commercial mortgage loans.
- Provide daily administrative tasks when needed

- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for accuracy and precision in financial analysis and documentation.

- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for financial modeling and analysis. Experience with web-based databases, RealNex would be a plus
- Multi-Tasking Abilities: Capacity to handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
- Self-Motivated: Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently as a self-starter.
