Accounting Support Specialist (Bookkeeper/Assistant)

Seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join a dynamic NYC team as an Accounting Support Specialist. This versatile role blends the responsibilities of a bookkeeper and accounting assistant, offering a varied and rewarding career.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Data Management:

• Record financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Google Suite, Payroll applications).

• Maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records.

• Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies.

• Prepare bank deposits and process payments.

• Assist with payroll processing and reporting.

• Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Generate accounts payable and receivable reports.

• Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.

• Analyze financial data and identify trends.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.

• Administrative Tasks:

• Enter financial data into accounting software.

• File invoices and other financial documents.

• Run errands and perform other administrative tasks.

• Maintain a professional and organized workspace.

• Detail oriented and able to catch any errors.

Qualifications:

• An associate degree in accounting or finance is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience is acceptable.

• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, etc).

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
