This position is for a skilled and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the organization's general ledger accounting and financial reporting requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial information, while adhering to Nestlé reporting policies and systems.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain and update the general ledger by recording all financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
+ Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and complete recording of financial transactions.
+ Reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
+ Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues.
+ Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
+ Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
+ Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the general ledger accounting function.
+ Provide support for ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or related field, with CPA or equivalent designation preferred
+ 3+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance
+ Solid understanding of US GAAP; familiarity with IFRS a plus
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills
+ Proficiency in SAP system preferred
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and statements
+ Well-organized and methodical thinker with strong decision-making abilities
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
+ Ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative team environment and effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders
