Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
2. Preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
3. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
4. Supporting audit processes by providing necessary information and explanations to auditors.
5. Ensuring compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
6. Implementing improvements to accounting systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
7. Collaborating with other finance team members and management to solve financial issues.
8. Staying updated on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure compliance.
9. Assisting with tax preparation and filing activities.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the Engineering industry.
3. Proficient knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Exceptional analytical skills and experience with general ledger functions.
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
7. Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required.
