Are you a corporate accountant working in a traditional office environment and ready to transition to a work-from-home career?This is a unique opportunity for an Accountant with experience in Corporate Retail Accounting and who is well-versed in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Accrual Based Accounting. The responsibilities associated with this role are organized into areas that are very important to Financial Design as an organization.
Client Relationship
- Provide exceptional accounting and operational service to the clients.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of professional accounting practices.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in technologies to deliver outstanding quality service.
- Support client onboarding process for all assigned client engagements in accordance with defined process.
- Collaborate with your manager to ensure all clients are satisfied with the company's services through timely and effective communication, delivery on deadlines and stellar accounting support.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with clients while performing within established processes and budget parameters.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable management
- Perform accurate month-end and year-end closings
- Oversee accrual-based processes, including prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, payroll accruals and other account reconciliations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track, allocate, and manage retail inventory costs and post any adjustments.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to support company financial goals.
- Review monthly sales tax filings
- Ensure compliance with GAAP by reviewing and analyzing financial transactions for accuracy and adherence.
- Prepare and analyze key financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and insights as needed.
- Payroll, HR administration and special projects as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience in public accounting preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of corporate accounting experience, ideally in the retail industry.
- Extremely organized and can handle multiple clients daily
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Capacity and commitment to work 40 hours a week during traditional daytime business hours supporting clients and manager.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing.
- Willingness to consistently and accurately follow established policies and procedures.
- A passion for and sense of personal satisfaction in relationship building with clients.
- Confidence in learning and embracing new technology to solve client issues.
- Experience in developing strong remote team relationships based on trust, accountability, integrity, and sharing of best practices.
- Commitment to maintain the highest level of confidentiality while working with client data.
- A dedicated workspace that has a reliable, high-speed internet connection.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environment.
- Candidate must reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma, or surrounding area.

Pay: Annual Salary $60,000 Exempt
Expected hours: 40 per week
