JOB SUMMARY:
Accountant position utilizes experience and knowledge to perform general accounting activities, such as preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, analyzing and reporting monthly results, performing intercompany, project costing, and more. This position will provide challenging opportunities for an individual seeking an accounting role that works across all functional levels of the business.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Participate in forecast, monthly/quarterly business reporting, variance analysis, and month-end close activities.
· Month end closing journal entries, reporting, and reconciliations as required.
· Work cross functionally with various functions across the business to ensure proper accounting transactions are being recorded.
· Provide general support to other accounting, finance, and intercompany trading partner team members as required.
· Perform various compliance related activities including record retention, Sarbanes Oxley, and control assurance reviews
· Reviews and analyzes, as directed, operating procedures and controls to ensure they are consistent with the business processes and operating effectively.
· Assist in the development of annual operating plans and long-range plans and capital planning processes.
· Maintain Fixed Assets additions and disposals.
· Assist in projects forecasting and variance analysis.
· Provide financial data and related information in support of external and internal audit activities.
· Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial reporting as required.
· Maintain and develop personal, professional, financial, and general business skills through professional education. Remain aware of current accounting and industry developments and trends.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required

· Ability to work in team environment
· Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required - ability to create formulas (V-lookups, sumif, etc.) and utilize PivotTables. Experience using Microsoft Word, and Outlook also required
