We are currently hiring an experienced Accountant to provide accounting support to a dynamic accounting team. This position will perform a wide variety of duties related to general accounting and management reporting and will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data, reporting and analysis with accurate and relevant financial information and insights. This individual will be part of cGMP contract manufacturing environment and will partner with operations, finance, supply chain, quality, manufacturing and senior leadership.

Objectives of this role:
- The accountant is responsible for general and technical accounting functions to include the development and maintenance of accounting systems, general ledger, asset and liability records and other financial transactions, as well as the reporting of financial and statistical data.
- Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for performance improvement.
- Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting, and comply with national and local financial requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform regular accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Assist/Prepare in general ledger month-end closing journal entries.
- Assist/prepare in the accounting of fixed assets and capitalized projects.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation reports.
- Assist in reconciliations and variance analysis as needed.
- Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy during month-end closing processes.
- Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements.
- Assist in compiling working papers and support for financial audit fieldwork request.
- Assist and support in the implementation of ERPs and accounting/business-related systems.
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
- Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger.
- Perform customer billing and collection activities.
- Perform credit check analysis on potential customers.
- Assist in inventory management, including inventory valuation, conducting periodic stock reconciliations, and ensuring proper accounting for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Assist in cost accounting and analyzing production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead, to determine the cost of goods manufactured.
- Additional projects, as determined by Management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accounting.
- BS in Accounting or a related field preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of general accounting and US GAAP, and a general understanding of cost accounting.
- Understanding of basic principles of finance and accounting.
- Process Manufacturing, Supplements and Nutraceuticals a plus.
- Knowledge of and experience in internal accounting controls and preparing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
- Cost and Inventory Accounting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven analytical abilities, capability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office including Excel (intermediate level), Word, Power Point.
- Proficiency with accounting software on commonly used accounting ERP systems, such as Oracle and NetSuite.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
