Sr Staff Accountant
The Sr. Staff Accountant will support the Sr. Accounting Manager with fixed asset month-end close activities, internal controls, acquisitions/divestments and special accounting projects.
Responsibilities
• Prepare, review, and record significant period-end and quarterly journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with close deadlines.
• Reconcile the subledger to the general ledger, analyze any variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with the quarterly audit process by preparing detailed fixed asset reports and gathering requested sample items.
• Maintain and understand the processes related to the fixed asset subledger
• Contribute to ad-hoc analysis preparation and respond to management's requests for information.
• Independently manage assigned responsibilities and effectively handle workload in a deadline-driven environment.
• Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned by management.
About You
• Possess a working knowledge of the General Ledger (GL) system and its subsystems.
• Working knowledge of Office 365 applications (particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• High degree of analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills; deadline oriented and ability to prioritize/multi-task
• Demonstrated ability to work well with teams, facilitate and lead a project to completion
