We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to oversee accounting and financial functions for Midas Hospitality hotels. This will include monthly closing, working with accounts payable, payroll backup and monthly reporting to clients.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Assist in the implementation of corporate policies and procedures such as invoice processing, cash management and calculation of fees
- Assist in the implement, document and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Preparation of monthly financial statements
- Manage cash flow of assigned hotels
- Assist with preparation of annual budgets
- Review and recordation of journal entries required o reflect monthly activity
- Complete monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
The Ideal Candidate:
- Must have bachelor or associates degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the Hospitality industry (but not required)
