Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in the financial health of the organization by managing and overseeing the company's financial operations. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager or Controller and involves supervising a team of accountants or junior staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations and reporting)
- Identify, research, and resolve items/issues impacting the financial statements
- Provide financial and analytical support to various departments and offices
- Maintain company fixed asset accounting and capital lease recording
- Conduct monthly variance analysis
- Assist with financial audit preparations and audit process
- Maintain proper documentation of monthly data analysis
- Assist in banking treasury management system processes and reporting
- Assist in special projects, process improvement and technical accounting research
- Coordinate deliverables and communicate financial risks/issues to management
- Contribute to improving process workflows and maintaining system administration
- Perform miscellaneous department accruals
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations, including analyzing balances ensuring accounting treatment is in accordance with US GAAP guidance
- Assist with ensuring that adequate internal controls exist and are maintained
- Assist external and internal auditors in the performance of year-end and interim financial audits/reviews
- Produce Ad-hoc reporting to support operations
- Assist other team members to complete corporate projects/assignments
- Any additional tasks as assigned by company Controller
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable study area such as Accounting, Finance, Business or another related field required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a corporate accounting organization.
- ERP systems experience required.
- Experience with Outlook, Excel, and Word required.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Intermediate to Advanced computer skills/abilities, required.

Work Environment:
- Corporate office environment
- This is a full-time position. Days and Hours of work may vary and are somewhat flexible, but this position is generally required to work from the work location above Monday through Friday, between the core hours of 7 am to 6 pm. Must be willing to work nights, weekends & holidays, when necessary.

Stand/Sit: This is primarily a sedentary role, requiring the employee to sit to perform detailed administrative tasks and stand for meetings or client interactions. Occasionally, the employee will need to stand during meetings or while performing certain tasks such as making copies or scanning documents.
Walk: Occasionally required to walk to different areas of the office for meetings or to attend to other work-related activities.
Use hands/fingers to handle or feel: Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle and review documents, manage electronic devices, and perform detailed tasks requiring precision.
Climb: Not typically required for this role.
Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl: Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch to access files, materials, or equipment located in lower areas.
See: Specific vision abilities required to review and analyze documents, monitor financial data, and ensure accurate communication and decision-making.
Carry, weight, Lift: Must be able to occasionally lift or move objects up to 10 pounds, to transport files, office supplies, or equipment required for their tasks and responsibilities.
Exposure to work: Primarily works in an office environment with minimal exposure to adverse conditions. Occasionally, the role may involve visiting other company locations or attending off-site meetings or training sessions.
