Accountant - Legacy Healthcare

We are currently seeking a seasond accountant to join our team, located in Skokie, Illinois. The accountant would report to the Director of Accounting and would be responsible for the preparation and timely submission of regulatory reports as assigned, with a special focus on cost reporting. The ideal candidate would have experience with a large skilled nursing portfolio employer or with an accounting firm supporting large skilled nursing portfolios.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preparation and completion of annual cost reports
• Provides internal support for review of audits of the annual cost reports
• Performs reimbursement analysis associated with regulatory compliance

The position maintains current knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and requires strong working knowledge of the intricacies involed in CMS cost reporting processes in the skilled nursing industry. 

Position Qualifications:

BS in Business or Accounting, CPA preferred

At least 3 years’ experience in a position requiring CMS cost report preparation, submission, and auditing within the skilled nursing industry

At least 3 years' expereince supporting mid to large, multi-state skilled nursing portfolios
