About the Job
The Accountant will oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial
transactions. Responsibilities include full cycle accounting, reconciling account balances and bank
statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end closing procedures. Must have excellent
financial data analysis skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial
reports and forecasts.

Responsibilities:
• Verifies, allocates, posts and reconciles account payables and receivables.
• Produces error-free accounting reports.
• Analyzes financial information and summarizes financial status.
• Spots errors and suggests ways to improve efficiency and spending.
• Participates in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
• Provides input into department’s goal setting processes.
• Prepares financial statements and produces budget according to schedule.
• Assists with tax audits and tax returns.
• Directs internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Plans, assigns and reviews staff’s work, as well as mentoring and coaching.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Develops and documents business processes and accounting policies to maintain and
strengthen internal controls.
• Ensures compliance with GAAP principles.
• Completes other projects and tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in a professional office environment.• Verifies, allocates, posts and reconciles account payables and receivables.

Qualifications:
• 3 - 5 years of heavy account reconciliation, analysis, and journal entries.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Accounting Supervisor
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Awareness of business trends.
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Hands-on experience with accounting software QuickBooks
• Advanced MS Excel skills including V-lookups and pivot tables
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
• CMA or CPA preferred.
