OVERVIEW OF THE ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• Assist in month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring accurate account classifications in compliance with GAAP.
• The Accountant will oversee Fixed Assets, Royalty Receivable, and Prepaid Expense accounts, ensuring accurate management and reporting.
• Collaborate with IT to test and implement new procedures between ERP and other systems.
• Monitor cash balances, perform daily and monthly cash management analysis, and provide recommendations as needed.
• The Accountant will prepare data for sales tax returns using ERP information and tax software; serve as the primary contact for sales tax inquiries and manage related compliance paperwork.
• Support annual audits by gathering documentation, assisting external auditors, and maintaining necessary records.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in general accounting, ideally within a technology or product-focused company.
• Familiarity with GAAP and an understanding of ERP systems and tax software.
• Manufacturing experience ideal but not required.
