Accountant - Apolis

Job Title: Accountant 
Location : Palo Alto or Remote
Job Duration : 06+ Months Contract

Qualifications:
SAP Experience
Bachelor Degree in Accounting Preferred
 
Duties:

• Support timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close including accurate preparation of journal entries
• Prepares complex expense accruals and chargebacks for assigned accounts
• Reconciles and analyzes assigned accounts.  Reviews the work of others for accuracy and completeness
• Assists in the preparation of internal and external financial statements.  Performs variance analysis and related research
• Supports the annual external audit as well as periodic internal audits, including the preparation of PBC schedules.  Reviews the work papers of others
• Identifies and implements process improvements
• Proactively identifies and resolves problems, including information systems and reports enhancements
• Assists in developing, documenting and ensuring adherence to published policies and procedures
• Interprets and applies US GAAP and accounting control measures in the course of job performance
• Maintains effective working relationships with internal and external customers
